Rules

The Bandon Crab Derby is open to anyone who uses only recreational crabbing gear.

Commercial crabbers and divers are excluded from participation in the Bandon Crab Derby.

To be eligible for any prize or consolation prize the numbered tag must be verified and personal information recorded by noon August 31st, 2008 at Tony’s Crab Shack.

When recording personal information it must be complete and legible, if we can't read it or it's not complete we will skip it.

If the promoter catches a crab it will be entered under a name/group etc. for a donation.

The more tags you get the better the chances you have to win.

If a tag is pulled for one of the $100.00 drawings or in a prize drawing other than the day of the big drawings it will be returned into the jar and used on the day of the big drawings.

Only people with valid Oregon Shell Fish licenses are eligible.

Oregon rules and laws concerning crabbing are available at businesses that rent or sell crabbing gear and must be followed.

By accepting any prize the crabber agrees to allow the use of their name and picture in advertising and press releases.

It is the prize winner’s responsibility to pay for any and all taxes associated with winning and the winners are to report any prizes on their yearly income tax reports.

If a minor wins their parent or legal guardian must claim the prize.
